Spain's BCN3D Technologies presents two new 3D printers with RichRap as 'guest star'

Barcelona-based BCN3D Technologies -formerly known as RepRapBCN- has held a presentation ceremony to showcase two new 3D printers. Richard Horne, a.k.a RichRap was invited to take part of the company's milestone.

A new FFF 3D printer and an SLA-DLP one are the new 3D printers that BCN3D Technologies will offer after its succesful BCN3D hit the market some years ago. Additionally, a CNC laser cutter machine has also been developed by the team.

The BCN Sigma is an FFF 3D printer with an independent double extruder (IDEX) system. It holds a 210x297x210 mm build volume, heated bed and a BCN3DNozzle v3 Full Metal nozzle.

The Sigma can reach 50 microns layer resolution with a wide variety of materials such as PLA, ABS, Filaflex, PVA, HIPS ... and almost any material that melts below 280ºC, the maximun temperature the nozzle can reach.

BCN Lux is a machine based on the system DLP manufacture (Direct Light Processing). This System reproduces images layer by layer through a projector, the photosensitive resin interacts with this projected light and generates, layer by layer, the designed wanted.

A revolutionary way of additive manufacturing that transforms resins into three dimensional solid objects. With this machine is possible to make high resolution pieces with different resins of diverse shore. Furthermore, it gives a huge manufacture volume (Axis x: 250 mm / Axis y: 140 mm / Axis z: 300 mm) that will permit you to reproduce big seize pieces with a lot of detail.

BCN Lux is equipped with a 250 W Full HD projector. This machine works with light sensitive resins as stiff or calcinables that behave with a specific pattern.

BCN3D Ignis is a laser cutter, marker and engraver machine. A project of the Fundació CIM - BCN3D Technologies to be in use so much in an environment Fablab as inside the industrial processes. It includes an optical laser of high precision that will record almost any type of material, from the leather up to the plastic or the fiber.
