Published on: Friday, 15 May 2015

German RepRap will unveil its long-awaited X350 at RAPID next month. The company says it remains to its pioneering roots in providing cutting-edge technology 3D printers, developed and designed to meet the needs of industrial users and demanding consumers.

The X350 has been designed to optimize the space, maximizing the build volume to its outter dimensions, and to keep it easy to use and control through a web-based interface thanks to its network connecivity. German RepRap has selected Simplify3D as the software to ship with the X350, a very popular and well performance software.

The bed uses a 3-point alignment system which reduces the set up times while keeping enough accuracy. German RepRap managing director Thomas Liratsch explains the strategy behind the new development: “The X350 closes the gap between the NEO and the X400. It offers the best usage of the print area due to the rectangular print bed.” It also abides by the premise of a high-quality product “Made in Germany”: The X350 is being fully assembled in Germany and based on a robust metal frame to satisfy the requirements of commercial users.

The 3D printer will be available starting at a 2100 retail price (taxes excluded) for orders received before June 30, 2015.

The German RepRap X350 will have its debut in public at the Rapid Fair, which will be held at Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, CA, May 18 – 21, 2015. German RepRap, booth #954.
