MatterHackers releases version 1.6 of MatterControl slicer and 3D printer controller software

MatterHackers has just released the 1.6 version of its MatterControl free, open-source 3D printer controller software. Features new Print Recovery system, expanded cloud control, and multiple UI enhancements.

The company's famous software has been upgraded to the latest MatterControl 1.6 which offers a wide range of options and parameters to give users the whole control over their print jobs. Drag and drop queueing, plug and print setup and notifications (via sms or email) have lead the software to be one of the first choice for many professional and amateur users of 3D printers.

The latest version includes a Print Recovery feature to seamlessly resume printing after a loss of connection, loss of power or unrequested system updates.  The settings interface has also been improved, allowing the user to keep track of the changes and revert to a factory default at any time. Settings can also be saved to cloud account so you will always have access to them, wherever you are.

"We've also added a feature called Seam Hiding which makes the outside edge of the print much better by putting the places where the printer has to move inside of cracks and crevices to really improve that surface quality", says Lars Brubaker, CEO of MatterHackers.

Download MatterControl 1.6 for free, available for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
